Let the ending be clear enough that a new beginning does not have to compete with it.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Endings left vague keep drawing on attention that the next thing needs. An unclear handover, a goodbye never quite said, a decision that was allowed to trail off. Because nothing closed, part of you stays on call for it, and whatever comes next has to share the room. Clarity at the end is less about tidiness than about freeing your attention.

Find the thing that is technically over but still open in your head. Say the last sentence it needs, in writing if that is easier, and mark the date. Then let the new thing have your full attention rather than half of it.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Which unfinished goodbye still crowds the thing you are starting now?
