The people asked to carry a decision deserve to understand why it was made.

LEADERSHIP
A decision handed over without its reasoning can only be obeyed, never adapted. The moment reality differs slightly from what was planned, the people holding it have nothing to steer by, and they either stall or guess. Reasons also do something quieter. They tell people they were considered rather than merely assigned.
As you pass on a decision this week, include why it went that way and what was given up to get there. Keep it to a few sentences rather than a defense. Then say which parts they may adjust if the situation moves, and mean it.
Which decision did you hand down without explaining the reason behind it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
