Sometimes fear is only unfamiliarity asking for more experience.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

A great deal of what feels like fear is your system reporting that this is new. Unfamiliar situations generate the same physical signals as threatening ones, and without experience to sort them, everything unpracticed feels dangerous. The fix is not reassurance but repetition.

When something makes you anxious, ask how many times you have done it. If the answer is none or few, treat the anxiety as a beginner’s signal rather than a warning. Do it a handful more times before deciding what it means. Most of the feeling dissolves somewhere around the third or fourth attempt.
