A place can be easy to locate and difficult to feel welcome in.

GRATITUDE
Findability and hospitality are separate achievements, and they get confused constantly. Clear signs, good directions and a well-marked entrance all bring somebody to the door, and none of them decide what happens once they are through it. Whether a person relaxes depends on who looks up, what gets assumed about them, whether the place seems to expect someone like them. Being easy to reach is the smaller half of the job.
Ask someone who came once and did not return what the first ten minutes were like. Their answer will be about people rather than layout, and more useful than any signage you could add.
