What you refuse to do matters as much as what you are willing to do.

LEADERSHIP
A person is defined as much by their refusals as by their actions. The work you turn down, the conversations you will not have, the tactics you will not use: these set the boundaries within which everything else happens, and they are often more distinctive than anything on your list of accomplishments.
Make your refusals explicit to yourself rather than leaving them implied. What will you not do to succeed, to be liked, to win an argument. Writing that down is a quiet exercise with a large effect, because a refusal that has been named is much harder to erode than one you have only felt.
What have you refused lately that you are proud of?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
