A social plan becomes easier when enjoyment does not require pretending everyone has identical energy.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
Groups often run on an unspoken assumption that everyone can do the same amount. In practice one person is exhausted, one has a condition that limits what an evening can contain, one wants a quieter version, and all of them end up performing a stamina they do not have. The performance is what makes the plan hard, not the difference in energy. Once the difference is allowed, most plans can be built to hold it.
When you arrange something, say early that people can come for part of it. Offering an easy exit, a chair, an earlier start, costs the plan nothing and lets people come who would have declined.
Where do you match other people’s pace at your own cost?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
