Help is easy to accept and easy to under-record. In the moment it is a shrug and a thank you; for the person who did it, it may have been a rearranged afternoon or a phone call they found difficult. Filing it as nothing means you will not notice when the balance has gone one-sided, and eventually neither will they, though only one of you will mind. Keeping track is part of receiving well.
Think back over the past month and name two people who made something easier for you. Thank them again, specifically, later than expected. Then look for the small return that would actually suit them.
Which kindness did you accept lightly and never properly repay?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
