A carefully labeled box is consideration extended toward someone you may never meet.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Labelling is a message to a stranger. Whoever opens the box may be a colleague years from now, a relative sorting a house, or you with no memory of packing it, and a few words on the side save them an hour of guesswork and a decision they have no basis for. It is care performed in advance with no prospect of thanks. Most administration that matters looks like this.

When you pack, store or file anything this week, spend the extra thirty seconds on the label. Write what it is, whose it was and roughly when. Kindness to whoever comes next is cheap.
