A changing body asks ordinary surroundings to become more thoughtfully arranged.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Rooms get arranged for the body you had when you arranged them. Illness, injury, pregnancy, age, or a new diagnosis can turn ordinary distances into obstacles, and a house that was fine last year begins working against you in ways that feel personal. Rearranging is not surrender, it is the same practical adjusting you would do for anything else that changed. Surroundings are meant to serve the person, and the person is allowed to change.

Move one thing this week to the height where it is actually needed. If you are helping somebody else, ask what they have started avoiding rather than what they cannot do.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What in your home would need rearranging if movement got harder?
