A handmade quilt joins scraps that once belonged to separate plans.

Wholes can be assembled from pieces that were meant for something else. Each scrap in a quilt began as part of a dress, a shirt, a project that ended or never happened, and the new object does not erase those origins so much as hold them together in one place. Much of a life works this way. The parts that came from abandoned plans are not waste; they are material.
Look at what you have left over from things that did not work out, skills, contacts, half-finished efforts. Ask what they could be joined into rather than what they failed to become.
What scraps of your abandoned plans could become one thing?
