A former responsibility can be missed even after its pressure is gladly gone.

Relief and loss can arrive together without cancelling each other out. Being finished with something heavy, a job, a caring role, a house that needed constant attention, can be genuinely welcome and still leave a gap where being needed used to sit. Missing it is not a wish to have it back; it is an accurate response to something real having ended.
Allow both feelings to be true rather than picking the respectable one. If the gap is about being depended on, look for a smaller version of that rather than dismissing the need. Grief for a burden is still grief, and it settles at its own pace.
What burden do you miss now that it is gone?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
