A shaky beginning can be remembered warmly after the work finds its rhythm.

Beginnings are awkward for structural reasons, not because you are unsuited to the thing. Nothing is in place yet, every action costs attention, and there is no rhythm to carry you. Later, when the work has settled, those first weeks stop being embarrassing and turn into something you are almost fond of, because you can finally see how far the ground has moved. The warmth is only available from the far side.
If you are in the shaky part of something now, keep a few notes about what is hard. You will want them later, both for your own reassurance and for the next person starting where you started.
