Your limits become suspicious when you realize most of them were inherited, not discovered.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Most of the ceilings you live under were never tested. They were handed to you by family, school, an early failure, or a room you were once the youngest person in, and you accepted them as measurements rather than as opinions. A discovered limit has a story attached, a moment where you actually reached it. An inherited one usually cannot tell you when you first met it, because you never did.

Name one thing you are sure you are not built for. Then ask when you last genuinely attempted it and whether that attempt was recent, fair, or adult. If you cannot find the moment you learned the limit, treat it as untested rather than true, and run one small experiment against it.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Which of your limits did you inherit from somebody else’s fear?
