There is in the worst of fortune the best of chances for a happy change.

RESILIENCE
When things are as bad as they get, almost every direction is upward, and the arrangements that held you in place have already come apart. Bad fortune destroys the sunk costs a better life would have had to argue against. That is not a consolation for the loss, which is real. It is only a note that change is possible at the bottom in a way it was not while things were tolerable.
If you are in a low stretch, hold off on rebuilding exactly what fell over. Ask what you would choose now if nothing were decided, and let one piece of the rebuild answer that rather than habit.
What opened up for you only after things fell apart?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
