He who lives in harmony with himself lives in harmony with the world.

— Marcus Aurelius

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Inner conflict tends to spill outwards. A person at odds with their own choices, desires or past often finds other people irritating, circumstances unfair and small events provoking, because the friction inside keeps looking for somewhere to land. When that internal argument quietens, the same world can feel much less hostile, though nothing in it has changed.

That does not make every outside conflict secretly your fault, and some situations are genuinely wrong. But if you are clashing with many people at once, check whether something unsettled in you is setting the tone. Settling one internal matter might quiet more than you expect.
