The mountain is worth climbing even when nobody knows you reached it.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

The value of a hard thing sits in what it does to you on the way up, and that happens whether or not there is a record of it afterwards. If the summit only counts when someone else confirms it, then the years of effort were really an application for recognition, and the mountain was incidental. What you became during the climb stays with you regardless of who ever hears about it.

Think of one difficult thing you finished that nobody knows about. Notice that it still changed you. Then check whether you are currently avoiding something worthwhile because there would be no way to show it, and consider doing it anyway.
