There is no hope unmingled with fear, and no fear unmingled with hope.

RESILIENCE
Hoping and fearing are the same reaching, seen from two sides. Both come of caring about an outcome you cannot control, which is why wanting something immediately supplies the possibility of losing it, and why a frightened person is still hoping underneath. They cannot be separated by effort. Keeping the hope while deleting the fear is a project that has never worked for anyone.
When anxiety about something runs high, read it as a measure of how much you want it rather than as a signal to withdraw. Then act on the hope and let the fear ride along. It will be there either way.
Which hope of yours arrives with fear attached to it?
