Do not confuse aggression with effectiveness.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Force feels like effectiveness, especially from the inside. Raising your voice, working longer, pressing harder, all of it produces the sensation of doing something, and the sensation is easy to mistake for results. Effectiveness is measured only by what changed afterwards, and quite often the quieter, cleverer move changes more.

After a period of intense effort, look plainly at what actually shifted. If the honest answer is very little, that is not a reason to work harder. Ask what a calm and well informed person would do with the same situation, and try that next.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Where does your force feel productive without actually being productive?
