Life’s greatest happiness is to be convinced we are loved.

GRATITUDE
Being loved is one thing; being convinced of it is another, and the second is where the happiness lives. Plenty of people are held dearly and cannot quite believe it, so the warmth never reaches them. Conviction gets built slowly, out of small evidence repeated: someone remembering, returning, staying when leaving would be easier. It is also something you can give as readily as receive.
If someone matters to you, make the evidence plainer than feels necessary this week. Say the specific thing instead of assuming it is understood. And where you are loved but struggle to believe it, let one piece of evidence stand without arguing it away.
Whose love are you sure of without needing proof?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
