Laundry piles are proof you lived this week. Life gets messy when it’s being used.

RESILIENCE
Mess is usually a byproduct of activity rather than a character flaw. A week with practice, shifts, friends and school in it produces dishes and laundry, because those come out of doing anything at all. Confusing a full sink with a failing life is a quick way to feel bad about a week that went fine. The tidiest rooms often belong to the emptiest weeks.
Handle it in a specific twenty minutes instead of carrying the guilt around all day. Put that time on a day which is already light. Then let the rest of the mess mean what it actually means.
