The glue person on a team rarely gets highlighted. Everything falls apart the day they’re gone.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Some contributions stay invisible precisely because they work. Whoever tracks details, smooths arguments, remembers what was agreed and quietly handles the parts nobody assigned does not generate highlights. Their value becomes measurable only in their absence, which is a terrible system and a real one. Being that person means accepting a gap between your importance and your recognition.

If that is you, keep your own record of what you actually do, since nobody else is writing it down. If it is somebody else on your team, say so out loud. Naming it costs you nothing.
