Sometimes pretending not to notice gives you time to understand everything.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Reacting to the first thing you notice tells everyone that you noticed, and it usually gets you a small correction rather than an understanding of the whole pattern. Letting it pass without comment keeps the situation running normally while you learn how it works. This only makes sense when you intend to eventually act. Otherwise it becomes a way of never dealing with anything.

When something is off, give yourself a defined period to observe before responding. Write down what you see so it does not blur. Then act once, with the full picture, rather than several times with fragments.
