An idea you never share can’t get stolen. It also can’t grow.
CREATIVITY
CREATIVITY
Secrecy protects an idea from every kind of contact, including the useful kinds. Nobody can take it, and nobody can improve it, fund it, join it, or tell you the flaw you cannot see from inside. Theft is real and smaller than most people assume, because execution is the hard part and few people want your workload. Silence costs something too, and it is easy to miss because nothing visibly goes wrong.
Share it with three people who could actually help, not with everybody. Ask a specific question rather than presenting it for approval. An idea ruined by being described was never strong enough to be built.
Which idea are you guarding so tightly it cannot develop?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
