Faith isn’t a light switch. Some days it’s a dimmer on low, and that still counts.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Faith is not binary, and treating it that way makes a low day feel like a collapse. Some weeks it is bright and certain, and some weeks it is a small steady thing that gets you to church anyway. Both of those are on. The dim setting is not a failed version of the bright one, it is what belief looks like when you are tired.

On the flat days, lower the bar rather than skipping the whole thing. One verse, one sentence of prayer, one conversation with somebody who believes. Staying in the room on low is still staying in the room.
