Thank the past you who studied, trained, saved and showed up. They did it without knowing if it’d work.

Whatever is going well for you now was set up by a version of you who had no evidence it would pay off. That person did the work without confirmation available, and then handed the result forward. It is a strange relationship and a real one, and the earlier you never gets acknowledged.

Take a second and be properly pleased with the person who did the boring part. Then consider what you are currently setting up for the version of you a year from now, who is just as real and just as unable to argue. Most of what you do today is a message to them.
