Not every moment needs a caption. Some of them already said everything.

Putting words on something changes it. A caption turns an experience into a statement about yourself, and once that translation happens you have a post rather than an afternoon. Some things get clearer when they are described and some just get smaller, and the ones that were already complete are usually in the second group.

Take the photo if you want, and then leave it in your camera roll. Send it to one person instead of everyone, or to nobody. Notice the pull to explain it and see what happens if you do not. Some things stay bigger by remaining undescribed.
