Be patient with people who are changing. You needed that patience too.

Change is ugly in the middle. Somebody trying to be different will be inconsistent, overdo it, slip back and look slightly ridiculous while the new version settles, and the easiest response available to everyone watching is to point out that they are the same as always. That usually ends the attempt. You were extended the same patience once, probably without knowing it.

Give somebody room this week, especially if they are working on the thing you find annoying. Say once that you noticed the effort. People change faster around those who let them.
