Change the question from “Who am I?” to “Who am I practicing to be?”

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Identity questions tend to send you inward looking for a fixed answer that is not there. The second version points outward, at behavior, which is the only place a self is actually visible. You are not discovering a finished thing but accumulating one through repetition. That reframing turns an unanswerable question into a schedule.

Write down three things the person you want to be does regularly. Do one of them this week and note whether it felt like pretending or like practice. Keep practicing whichever one you would still do if nobody knew.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Who are you practicing to be on an ordinary Tuesday?
