Some doors close because you’d already outgrown the room.

Endings that felt like rejection often turn out to be alignment catching up with reality. The job, the group, the place stopped fitting some time before it formally ended, and you probably noticed without admitting it. Being let go of something you had already left internally is less of a loss than it seems at the time. The timing hurt, even where the direction was right.
Look back at a closed door and ask honestly whether you still wanted to be in there. If the answer is no, let yourself stop replaying the ending. Put that attention toward the room you are actually trying to get into.
