Every habit you have is on broadcast to someone younger than you. They’re taking notes you’ll never see.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Somebody younger is building their idea of normal partly out of watching you, and you will almost never receive the feedback. No one tells you which habit they copied or which line they repeated at school the next day. It happens without their intention or yours, which is what makes it impossible to manage by deciding to be a good example on particular occasions. The unguarded moments are the ones being recorded.

Rather than trying to perform, fix one habit properly. The real version travels further than the demonstration ever could.
