Titles get you obeyed for a semester. Trust gets you followed for years.

LEADERSHIP
A title borrows obedience from whoever handed it to you, which means it runs out when the season does. Trust works differently because people give it directly, based on what you did when it cost you something. One is a loan with a short term. The other keeps working in rooms where nobody knows your position.
Look at whatever small role you hold now, captain or shift lead or the one who runs the group chat. Ask what you would still have if the title vanished tomorrow. Spend this week building that part instead of defending the label.
Would people still follow you without the position you hold?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
