The group needs a decision more than it needs a perfect one. Pick, commit, adjust.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Indecision has costs nobody counts: the waiting, the second-guessing, the energy leaking out of everyone while the question stays open. A decent choice made now usually beats an excellent one made later, because you can start learning from it immediately and adjust. Most choices are correctable too, so the real risk is usually the delay rather than the pick.

If something has been open for more than a week, close it. State what you chose, say it may change, and name when you will look again. Then get on with it and let the information arrive while you move.
