Tell people what they’re great at. Most of them genuinely don’t know.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Most people cannot see their own strengths, because whatever comes easily reads as normal rather than as an ability. Someone can be genuinely good at something for years and never know, which quietly limits what they attempt. An outside observer is the only one who can supply that information. You are an outside observer to a lot of people.

Tell two people this week one specific thing they are good at, with an example attached. Not general praise. Say what you saw them do and why it was unusual, then let them sit with it.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Have you told someone lately what they are great at?
