Some work you do for an audience of one: the person you’ll be at the end of it.

Not everything you make is for anybody else. Some of it exists to change the person doing it, which means the real output is not the drawing or the training block or the essay, it is who you are by the time it is finished. That audience never sees the post. It just gets the results and keeps them for good.

Choose one thing this week that you will not show anyone. Practise it, finish it, let it stay private. Then notice whether it sits differently in you than the things you did mainly for a reaction.
