Legacy isn’t a statue. It’s the habits you leave behind in other people.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

What carries on after you is mostly behavior that got copied. A phrase your grandmother said that you now say, the way a coach warmed people up, someone who always waited for the slowest person in the group. None of it is monumental and all of it is still running, years later, in people who may not remember where they picked it up. That is the actual mechanism.

Name one habit you inherited from a person rather than from a book. Then pick one you would be happy to pass on and do it consistently enough to be caught doing it. Consistency is the transmission, not a speech.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Which of your habits has somebody else picked up?
