A result stops the day you get it. The trophy is finished, it goes on a shelf, and nothing about it grows after that. The people you went through that season with keep changing, keep showing up, and keep being worth more later than they were at the time.

Text one person from a team or a class or a summer job you are no longer in. Nothing heavy, just proof of contact. Those are the things that keep paying, and they only keep paying while somebody keeps them alive.
