In almost every argument, you own at least a slice. Admitting your slice is how the whole thing ends.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

In nearly every fight there is a piece that belongs to you, even when the split is nowhere near even. Tone, timing, the thing you said to get a reaction, the two weeks you stayed quiet about it. Naming your part does not concede the whole argument, and it is usually the only move that breaks the loop, because it gives the other person somewhere to stand besides defense.

Go first with your slice and be specific, with no word but attached to the end of it. Then stop talking. Most arguments end within a minute of somebody doing that.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

In your last argument, what slice was honestly yours?
