Trust is a stack of small receipts that say “I did what I said.”

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Trust is not a mood somebody grants you, it is a record of times when what you said and what happened matched. Each entry is small and unimpressive alone: a message answered, a time kept, a thing given back. Nobody frames them, and that stack is still what people check before relying on you. It works in your favor too, because a new stack can start any week you decide to start one.

Take one promise you would normally keep loosely and keep it exactly. Name a time and hit it. Then do it again, because one receipt is not a stack.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What small promise did you keep this week without fanfare?
