A missed free throw doesn’t cancel the next one. The rim has no memory. Neither should you.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Each attempt is independent, though your nervous system does not believe it. A miss is over the second it lands, and the only place it keeps existing is in your head, where it starts influencing the next one. The equipment holds no opinion about you. Carrying it is optional, and carrying it is the part that actually affects the outcome.
Build a short reset you can use after a mistake: a breath, a phrase, some physical gesture meaning the last one is finished. Use it every time, practice included. Treat the next attempt as the first of the day.
Which miss are you still carrying into your next attempt?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
