Exhaustion always tells you the finish line is way further than it is. Check the map, not the feeling.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Tiredness distorts distance. When you are depleted, everything remaining looks bigger and further off, and that estimate is a symptom of fatigue rather than a measurement of the task. It is why hard stretches feel endless shortly before they end. What you are reading is your energy level, not the map.

If the finish looks impossibly far, check something external: the real list, the real date, the actual number of steps left. Then rest properly, because the estimate improves after sleep more reliably than after effort. Measure when you are fed and rested rather than at the worst hour.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

How much further do you actually have left to go?
