Whatever you do automatically, you chose at some point. Go back and choose again on purpose.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Automatic behavior started as a decision, usually one made quickly under conditions that no longer apply. Once it runs by itself you stop examining it, and it keeps operating on the logic of a much earlier you. Habits are old choices still being carried out.
Pick one thing you do without thinking and ask what it was originally for. Decide, deliberately, whether you would choose it again today. Keeping it on purpose is different from keeping it by default, even when the outcome looks identical.
Which routine of yours has never been reconsidered?
