Your little sister is learning what faith looks like by watching how you act when you lose.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

Younger people learn from behavior under stress, not from instruction. What a sibling absorbs is how you handle losing, being wrong, being passed over, because those are the moments when what you actually believe becomes visible. You are teaching whether or not you intend to, and mostly on your worst days.

After the next loss, say out loud what you want them to learn: that it stings, that it is survivable, that the other team played well. Apologize in front of them when you get it wrong. Being watched is not pressure to be perfect, only to be honest.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Who watched you the last time you lost something badly?
