Mid-change is lonely: the old crowd doesn’t fit and the new crowd hasn’t shown up yet. Keep walking.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

There is a stretch in the middle of any real change where you belong nowhere in particular. The old group has become slightly uncomfortable and the people who would understand the new version have not appeared yet, so you are between two sets of company. That loneliness is real and it is not a sign you chose wrong.

Let it be what it is rather than rushing to fix it. Keep one or two of the old connections that still fit. Give it months, not weeks, and take the small chances to meet people doing what you are doing now.
