Life will hand you changes you didn’t order. What they turn into depends on how you plate them.

Much of what shapes a life was not requested. The change arrives, and the only remaining variable is what you make of it, which is a smaller amount of control than anyone wants and considerably more than none. What happened is fixed. What it becomes is not entirely.

When something lands that you did not choose, give yourself time before deciding what it means. Then ask the practical question rather than the fair one. Not why this, but what is possible from here.
