Bad morning? Fine. Just don’t hand it out at the door like a flyer.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
A mood is not a moral failure, and it does spread, particularly downwards, where people read your tone as information about their own standing. Everyone around you starts adjusting to a signal that has nothing to do with them, and the cost lands on people with no way to check. Saying nothing does not hide it. It only removes the explanation.
Name it briefly and generically at the start: rough morning, nothing to do with you. Then keep your first three interactions deliberately normal. The mood passes without leaving a trail of small injuries behind it.
Who got the worst of your mood for no reason?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
