Being a great follower is underrated. Every movement needed someone to show up without needing the spotlight.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Every effort that worked needed more people carrying chairs than giving speeches, and most of them are not remembered. Following well is its own skill: knowing when to commit to someone else’s plan, doing the part you took without renegotiating it, staying useful without needing to be seen. Groups fail from a shortage of that more often than from a shortage of ambition.

Take something on this month where you are not in charge, and be genuinely excellent at your piece of it. Do not angle for a bigger role. Notice how differently the whole thing runs when one person simply does what they said.
