Don’t advertise what gets under your skin. Someone will save that list.

Telling people what wounds you hands them a map. Most will never use it, but the one who does will remember it exactly, and it tends to surface at the moment you are least able to absorb it. Being sensitive about something is ordinary, and choosing who hears about it is the part you control.

Keep the tender subjects for the few people who have earned them. With everyone else, a shrug and a change of subject is enough and gives nothing away. You are not hiding, only deciding who holds what.
