The janitor who knew every kid’s name has a bigger legacy than half the people with buildings named after them.

LEADERSHIP
Being remembered has less to do with scale than with contact. A name said correctly, every day, by someone under no obligation to learn it, does more for a person than a plaque they walk past. Institutions record donations; people record how they were treated when nobody important was watching.
Learn the names of the people you see regularly and are not required to know. Use them. It is a small piece of work with an unreasonably large return, and it is available to you today at no cost at all.
Who at your school or job knows everyone’s name?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
