Rough start, fine. What you build on top of it is still on you.

A hard beginning is real, and naming it as real is not a complaint. You did not choose it and you owe nobody a performance of having risen above it. Alongside that sits a second truth, which is that the part coming after is a different question from the part that came before, and only one of them is still open.

Try keeping the two separate this week. When something goes sideways, ask which piece belongs to the start you were handed and which belongs to the choice you just made. Work on the second and stay patient with the first.
