You can’t sprint the whole cross-country course. Hard stretches need pacing, not panic.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Panic spends everything at once, which only works if the thing in front of you is short. Over a long course it is the quickest route to having nothing left, and the stretch that beats you is usually not the hardest one but the one that comes after you overspent. Pacing is not a lack of urgency. It is urgency distributed properly across the whole distance.
Map the next two weeks and find where the real hard section sits. Then decide now what you will not do in the easy days before it, including studying things you already know well.
